Twisties on the Bay in Strathmere made a surprise return earlier this season after sitting out the 2025 season.

The iconic red building at 236 Bayview Drive had a surprising soft opening back in May after new owners reopened the beloved Strathmere favorite.

After the 2024 season, the business went up for sale, and then remained shuttered all of 2025. However, when it returned, many of the recognizable features that people remember when they went to Twisties all remained intact, like the old-fashioned juke box and coconut heads situated throughout the bar and dining area.

The former speakeasy,  which dates back to 1929, has been a magnet for Philadelphia sports stars to visit when vacationing down the shore

Jay Wright Welcomes Back a Strathmere Tradition

Jason Kelce recently stopped

It turns out that next chapter is officially here. Twisties remains a legendary spot down the shore, has become a go-to waterfront restaurant again,
and made my list of places to check out

It seems people like Jason Kelce and Jay Wright agree with me! Twisties is open seven days a week, with food and drinks served all day starting at 4:30 and on weekends at noon.

10 Favorite Things about Cape May County, NJ

The history of Cape May County predates the formation of the United States of America by about 100 years as it was one of the first counties established in what was originally known as the West New Jersey Provence. Cape May County's historical records go back as far as 1685 and the County was originally established in 1692. Cape May County has been a huge part of my life and that of my family's for decades, so I wanted to share with you my favorite aspects of the southern most County in the state of New Jersey.
