Philadelphia Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet recently stopped by a local Cape May County breakfast and lunch spot and signed his No. 22 Flyers jersey with the tag, "Best Restaurant at the Shore".

Rick Tocchet Crowns Clermont Diner Best at the Shore

Tocchet was talking about Marge's Diner, a beloved hidden gem at 1974 Route 9 in Clermont, a place that he and some other Philadelphia sports stars seem to visit a lot when they are visiting the Sea Isle City, Avalon, or Stone Harbor beaches.

Jason Kelce and Cole Hamels Join the Star-Studded Guest List

In addition to Tocchet, former Eagles star and Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce was recently at this unassuming roadside diner. This past weekend, former Phillies pitcher, World Series champion, and MVP Cole Hamels stopped by to wish one of the dedicated staff members, Sydney, a Happy Birthday.

A South Jersey Breakfast Tradition Since 1947

It's not the only time Hamels has stopped by; he was also at Marge's back in July of 2025 to enjoy this fantastic “mom and pop” stop that has been serving breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. since 1947.
