Hell hath no fury like a supermodel-dating-a-Major-League-pitcher scorned.

Kate Upton went on a Twitter tirade after her fiance, Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, finished as the runner-up to Red Sox star Rick Porcello for the American League Cy Young Award, even though Verlander nabbed more first-place votes.

She wasn't done, either.

And while Upton takes dead aim at Major League Baseball for her rage and displeasure, the real target of her anger should be the Baseball Writers' Association of America, since writers from that group are the ones who vote on the Cy Young Award.

Her fiery tweets elicited a heaping dose of responses:

Verlander's brother also voiced his disappointment and singled out writer Bill Chastain.

The good news for the Verlander-Upton ticket is that Justin did win the Cy Young in 2011. That's gotta count for something, right?

Amidst all the hubbub, Verlander himself remained pretty grounded about the whole controversy and proved he's anything but a sore loser.
