Mainland Regional Football Player Commits To New Jersey College
The Mainland Regional Mustangs Football Team won the 2023 New Jersey Group IV State High School Football Champions and after the team was honored in January for their undefeated season, now the time is here for the individual players on the team to get their recognition.
One of the leaders for the Mustangs Football Team that finished the 2023 season with a 14-0 record, Stephen Ordille had an incredible year on the field. The Senior had 1,841 Rushing Yards and 30 Rushing Touchdowns, one of the best seasons for a Running Back not just in Mainland Regional High School. He also has 67 Tackles this past season.
While his incredible offensive stats put him in the conversation as one of the best Running Backs in Cape Atlantic League Football History, it is Ordille's Academics that tell another story. The Mainland Regional High School Senior has a 5.0 weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) and only had one class in which he received a B Grade his entire High School life.
Thanks to his hard work in the Classroom and excellence on the Football Field, Stephen Ordille has received the opportunity to attend Princeton University. Originally known as the College of New Jersey, one of the oldest Academic Institutions in United States history has been located in Princeton, New Jersey since 1756.
Almost 30 years before receiving University status and being renamed Princeton University, the first College Football game in American Football history was Princeton's Tigers versus Rutgers Scarlett Knights. Ordille will be playing College Football for one of the most historic Academic Institutions in the United States.
The Princeton Football Team has not had a losing season since 2011. Stephen Ordille, the Maxwell Club 2023 New Jersey High School Player of the Year, will be joining a College Football program with high expectations on and off the field.
