Ilya Bryzgalov allowed three goals on 28 shots in a 3-0 loss to Boston on Saturday.  Following the game, the Flyers made a surprise move - demoting veteran Brian Boucher to the AHL after posting a 2.50 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in four games with Philadelphia.

In his place, Michael Leighton has been recalled by the Flyers.

In his only start in the NHL this year, the 31-year old gave up five goals on 26 shots. Leighton is coming off an injury to his finger and has a 1-1-0 record with a 2.02 goals-against average and .933 save percentage on the AHL season.

Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News sent out a tweet wondering if coach Peter Laviolette would be bold enough to start Leighton against the Sabres on Sunday.

As for Bryzgalov, he hasn't been very good lately with 11 goals against in his past three appearances, but one has to wonder if this move was made to send a message to Bryzgalov who was asked what the problem with the team was after the 3-0 loss to the Bruins.

"I have no idea," Bryzgalov told the media.  "You asked the wrong person."

Could the net-minder be losing his cool?

He was also asked if it was time for the team to start to worry about possibly not making the playoffs.

"I answered that question a long time ago," he said.  " If you remembered my answer ... yes it is."

We might really have to worry if this season hinges on the shoulder of Leighton, who could be in net tomorrow against the Sabres.
