Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout, a 2009 Millville High School graduate, hit another milestone on Saturday night, hitting his 400th career home run.

Mike Trout Reaches Historic Milestone

The home run, a 485-foot solo blast in Colorado, makes him the 59th player in Major League history to hit 400 home runs. An odd stat about the home run: Trout has 200 homers at home and 200 home runs on the road.

"Last night was surreal," Trout said in a social media post. Blessed to play this game I love. Thank you to my teammates, family, and the fans for all the support. Let’s keep it rolling!"

He joins Giancarlo Stanton as the only active players who have 400+ career homers.

Breaking Down Trout’s Career Achievements

Trout has had many milestones in his illustrious career, including Rookie of the Year, three MVP awards, playing in 11 All-Star games, and being named All-MLB First team three times. He has been dealing with various injuries the past few seasons, or he may have over 500 career home runs at this stage of his career.

Injuries Have Slowed His Pace

The 34-year-old played in just 111 games in 2023-2024 and 119 games in 2022, dealing with knee injuries the past few seasons. This season, Trout is slashing .229/.358/.414 with 22 homers, 59 RBI, and two stolen bases in 124 games.

Millville Roots and High School Dominance

As a senior at Millville, Trout hit .531 with 18 home runs (a New Jersey high school record at the time), 43 hits, 49 runs, and 45 RBIs, leading him to get drafted by the Angels with the 25th pick in the 2009 draft.

Congrats to Trout for reaching this milestone, hitting his 400th home run, but can Angels slugger get to 500? We will be watching!
