Mike Trout And Buddy Kennedy: Millville High School’s MLB Stars Each Homer on Wednesday
Millville High has two alums currently in the big leagues.
We all are well aware of 3-time American League MVP and 11-time All-Star Mike Trout, who is entering his 15th season with the Los Angeles Angels. Trout launched an opposite-field home run on Wednesday against the Dodgers, but he wasn't the only Millville high alum to go yard on Wednesday.

Trout is looking to have a bounce-back season after missing parts of the past four seasons due to various injury issues. He is shifting from his normal center field spot over to right field this season to try and limit his injuries by being less taxing on his body.
Another Millville grad, Buddy Kennedy, is with the Philadelphia Phillies and also went deep on Wednesday in the team's 17-7 loss to the Tigers in Lakeland. Kennedy is fighting for an Opening Day roster spot with the team, and his right-handed bat and versatility make him a strong candidate to make the team when they head north.
Kennedy has moved all over the diamond and even played in the outfield; he was in the lineup at third base today.
It would appear that Kennedy is in the running for the Phillies' final roster spot, with Kody Clemens also in the mix and Weston Wilson starting the season on the injured list.
What are the chances that two MLb players from the same high school each hit a home run on the same day? Probably pretty slim. However, it happened with two Millville kids on Wednesday.
