Its been a special season for Millville wide receiver Lotizer Brooks.

The freshman had 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the Thunderbolts, 47-0 Thanksgiving Day win over rival Vineland to push his season total to 938, breaking the single-season total for any South Jersey freshman.

The previous record of of 861 yards was set in 2019 by Pennsauken high's Ejani Shakir, per South Jersey football historian Chuck Langerman.

Brooks and the Thunderbolts still have one more game for him to add to his record breaking total, giving him a great chance to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark this season as a freshman.

The freshman is already getting Division I offers.

The Thunderbolts will play Winslow Township (9-3) for the Regional Championship at 4 p.m. Dec. 5. at SHI Stadium at Rutgers University. Milville is the South Jersey Group IV champion and Winslow was the Central Jersey Group IV champs.

Brooks is part of an offense that also features LeQuint Allen who ran for 1,659 yards and 22 touchdowns.  Quarterback Nate Robbins became the first Millville passer to eclipse the 2,000 yard mark, with 2,509 and 29 touchdowns this season.
