Nakobe Dean Makes His Desires Clear Regarding Eagles Future
The Philadelphia Eagles have some key questions to answer as free agency begins at 4 p.m on March 11.
The Eagles need to decide on some key free agents to the defensive side of the ball, including linebacker Nakobe Dean, who joined us live on Friday on the Sports Bash on 97.3 ESPN.
The linebacker told us he hopes to be back with the Eagles in 2026.
Nakobe Dean’s Message to Philadelphia
"I wanna play," Dean said. I wanna play with the Eagles. I love the Eagles organization. Love Philly."The question will be, will the Eagles show the same love? The team traded up with the Chiefs and drafted linebacker Jihaad Campbell in the first round last season. Campbell excelled during this time as the starting linebacker, but had little impact once Dean was ready to return.
Many think Campbell is ready to take over the position, but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is a big fan of Dean.
Injury Recovery and 2025 Performance Stats
Dean played in 10 games this season, racking up 55 tackles, six QB hits, and two forced fumbles this season. Dean suffered a torn patella tendon during the Eagles' Super Bowl run in 2025 during the team's Wild Card win, forcing him to miss the first five weeks of the season.
