A popular discount grocery store, ALDI, is looking to get the final thumbs-up from the Vineland Planning Board to build a new location, according to the website 42Freeway.com

ALDI’s Growing Footprint in South Jersey

This will be the seventh location in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties, which include Absecon, Bridgeton, Egg Harbor Township, Rio Grande, Somers Point, and Vineland.

Strategic Location: Landis Avenue and Delsea Drive

According to the 42Freeway, the new Aldi grocery store will be on that property right on the site of the Rite Aid on Landis Avenue and Delsea Drive across from the former Sears department store building. The plan is to redevelop and expand the current Rite Aid building, adding about 2,700 square feet.

New ALDI grocery stores have been popping up all over South Jersey, with this being the second ALDI store in Vineland (3880 South Delsea Drive). There is also one that recently opened in Egg Harbor Township and in Somers Point at 425 New Road.

The ALDI Shopping Experience

ALDI is a German-based discount grocery store that, in addition to its ALDI-exclusive brands, offers big-name national brands in a "no-frills" environment for quick, efficient shopping.

The new ALDI will be in front of the Vineland planning board on Wednesday, May 13, and if approved, it will give Vineland another affordable grocery option.
