I’ve been told by multiple sources what is coming to the property, and I have some exciting news.

A post on the Somers Point Buzz Facebook page asked the question: Does anyone know what is going next to mexiquila? I see it looks like they maybe constructing something. They have the perimeter blocked off and a construction truck.

What’s Coming to the Somers Point Property

Some people answered the question in the post, and I can confirm that some of their answers are correct. I have been told by multiple sources that the spot will be home to a new brewery.

While there aren't many details, the spot has begun construction with tractors on site, beginning to clear out the land.

When I get more details,  I will be sure to let you know.

Somers Point is home to one brewery, Somers Point Brewing Company (SOPO), which is located at 705 W New York Avenue in the old Ice building and is currently for sale.

In addition to SOPO, Atlantic County currently has seven breweries. Hidden Sands is located in Egg Harbor Township, The Seed in Atlantic City, Garden State in Galloway, Buena Connection, Three 3's and Snouts and Stouts, both located in Hammonton.
