Many famous Philadelphia sports figures have been making their way down to the Jersey Shore recently, with Phillies World Series champion Cole Hamels recently at Marge's Diner in Clermont.

The Star-Studded South Jersey Summer

Eagles Super Bowl champion Jason Kelce is always seen around Sea Isle, head coach Nick Sirianni was in Avalon and offshore in Ocean View over Memorial Day weekend, and even Stanley Cup winner and Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet was at Marge's Diner a few weeks ago.

Many Philly sports figures are seen down in Cape May County, but from time to time, you see some in Atlantic County.

From the Gridiron to the Jersey Shore

On Monday night, Super Bowl XXXV champion quarterback Tony Banks, who played for the Baltimore Ravens and spent 10 seasons in the NFL, stopped by Charlie's Bar in Somers Point with his son Anthony and took pictures with some of the staff.

It appears Banks and his son had some of Charlie's famous tenders, saying "We crushed dem tenders" in a social media post on Monday.

No word on why Banks was at the Jersey Shore, but he may have been working out with our buddy, Mainland High grad and friend of the Locker Room, Dave Klemic.

Thanks for stopping by, Tony & Anthony ! It was a pleasure having you at Charlie’s. Hope to see you again soon! No better workout training than @klemicperformancemethod @davidklemic

Banks, who spent time in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, and Houston Texans, threw for over 15,000 career yards and 77 touchdowns and was the Ravens' starting quarterback for the first half of their Super Bowl-winning season.
