A new Authentic Mexican spot has opened, serving homemade Mexican and American breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes to Pleasantville residents and the surrounding areas.
A New Addition to Pleasantville’s Food Scene
Chilaqueria Los Girasoles had its grand opening on June 14 in the spot that was briefly home to Halal Pops Chicken & Grill and before that a Subway at 310 S New Rd, next to Decatur Liquors.
Halal Pops Chicken & Grill opened back in November, but has already been replaced by Chilaqueria Los Girasoles.

I happened to drive by there and got the chance to pop in last week and was impressed by their fresh and flavorful birria tacos, which were outstanding. Taking a look at some of the other plates that were being served, I was ready to return for another sample of the menu
As a big fan of an early morning breakfast, I am also looking forward to their classic Mexican breakfasts, and after trying the tacos, I think you can expect plenty of delicious cuisine options on their menu.
Stuff like tacos with carne asada, fish, shrimp, and carnitas, burritos and burrito bowls, all your favorites.
