NFL Mock Draft: Eagles Land WR at No. 12
After the Eagles traded down in the 2021 NFL Draft, swapping pick No. 6 with the Miami Dolphins in exchange for pick No. 12, mock drafts also changed.
Many mock drafts had the Eagles taking either Florida's Kyle Pitts or LSU wide out Ja'marr Chase at pick No. 6.
In CBS sports latest mock draft, the Eagles still get their wide receiver at pick No. 12, taking Alabama's Jaylen Waddle.
Philadelphia moves back after trading with the Dolphins and still gets one of the top wide receivers in the draft.
Waddle has a ton of speed and talent, but was limited by an ankle injury that limited him to six appearances during the 2021 season.
He is a big-threat, but his size (5-foot-10, 182 pounds) is a concern.
Waddle caught 106 passes for 1,999 yards and 17 scores in three seasons, and was having a monster start to the 2020 season before going down with the ankle injury.
Now that the Eagles have traded down, a few new options are there to consider.
South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn, who CBS has going No. 13, Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley at 16 and Alabama wide receiver Devonte Smith at No. 17.
