
This Offbeat Jersey Shore Town Was Just Named a Must-Visit in 2025
When it comes to the Jersey Shore, everyone has their favorite beach town.

Atlantic City has the casinos and great restaurants. Cape May has a little something for everyone, young and old.
However one Jersey Shore town has been named one of the Top 7 'offbeat' towns to visit on the Atlantic Coast for 2025 by World Atlas.
Offbeat is described as different from the ordinary or expected, often in an interesting or appealing manner.
World Atlas said the town they selected 'has great food, beautiful outdoors, and friendly locals to connect with.'
They added that in addition to their beaches and boardwalk attractions, they have other adventures to explore while maintaining their traditional seaside appeal.

As part of Seven Mile Island with Stone Harbor, Avalon was selected as one of the seven offbeat Atlantic Coast towns to visit in 2025.
What Makes Avalon an 'Offbeat' Coastal Destination
This New Jersey town is an offbeat choice focusing on quiet routines and preserved landscape. When you come to Avalon, walk along the Avalon Dunes and Beach Trail to see forested dunes and dune swales.
In addition to the trails, the article points out kayaking in the back Bay, the Avalon History Center, and a walk on the half-mile boardwalk that runs from 21st to 32nd Street with perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean and white sandy beaches.
