Talking Phillies and all the question marks surrounding Ryan Howard and his future with the team. Zolecki thinks the Phillies are just as better off keeping Howard for the rest of the season to see if he can get his swing back as opposed to trading him. In any trade involving Howard, the Phillies will have to eat almost all of the remaining $60+ million. If things don't improve with him the rest of the season, Zolecki says then you should probably contact an American League team to see if they can strike a deal at the Winter Meetings. Former Dodgers slugger Eric Karros called in to give his take on all things Ryan Howard and where the Phillies go from here. Karros is a player that turned into a salary dump late in his career as he was dealt to the Cubs. Karros said that a lot of the struggles are coming from the injury and that sitting will sometimes help. Karros also made sure to point out that there shouldn't be any friction in the clubhouse as long as Ryne Sandberg deals with it "man to man." Ruben Amaro should also call Howard into his office and speak with him man-to-man because Amaro is the one who showed loyalty to the 1B in the first place. A must listen interview!
