Here is this week edition:

Gene Allen

Atlantic City boy's basketball coach Gene Allen called in with Mike Frankel to talk about the season so far. Allen said that his team can't just "show up to the gym and expect to win every time." They need to work on their guard play and some of the kids need to understand what it takes to win back-to-back state championships. The Vikings have only played 6 games and coach Allen is confident that they will get it together. Check out the Vikings complete broadcast schedule for this season.

Mike McGarry

Press of Atlantic City reporter Mike McGarry on for his weekly spot with Mike Frankel. McGarry talked about the slow start to the season that the Saint Joe's basketball team is having under a rookie head coach. McGarry also talks about the Cape Atlantic League Tournament and how the seeding will shape out.

Dave O'Sullivan

97.3 ESPN FM has started a cool venture this high school basketball season. We have teamed up with Dave O'Sullivan from Glory Days Magazine to bring you even more coverage of games and tournaments this season. Hoop Jam 2015 will see Mike Gill and Mike Frankel calling games across the Cape Atlantic League. Check out Glory Days Magazine for more information on it and as always pick up a hard copy throughout both counties in our area.

Scott Bitner

loading...

Stockton associate men's basketball coach Scott Bitner talked with Mike Frankel about the great start to the season the program has been having this season. They lost for the first time last weekend after winning their first 11 games. At 12-1, the Ospreys roster boasts a lot of CAL alumni. Bitner knows that the more local talent you have on your roster, the more local support you'll have at these games. Coach Bitner is a home grown guy and says that it hard to leave the area when there are available jobs.

Tom Williams

Ocean City girls head coach Paul Baruffi talked with Mike Frankel about his team and their start to the season. Defensively this team is playing at a high level right now which includes a great performance defending Destiny Thompson out of Bridgeton. The Hall of Famer Tom Williams called in to talk with Frankel about the fast 7-0 start from the Red Raider girls team and there should be some good games coming up. Williams also talks about the boys side of high school basketball and which teams could make a run here. St. Augustine is the team to beat.
