Casino executives announced today that a total of $500,000.00 was raised for the Red Cross from Operation Hat Trick last month.

Boardwalk Hall officials along with CEO Chairman and President Gary Loveman made the announcement in a packed media room inside Caesars Casino.

Dozens of NHL players fled to a Hurricane Sandy ravaged Atlantic City and put on a charity hockey game for hockey fans in the area at Boardwalk Hall on Nov. 24th.

Former Flyers Todd Fedoruk and Rick Tocchet put on the event with stars like Martin Brodeur and Henrik Lundqvist playing goal for their respective teams.

With the NHL immersed in a lockout and Hurricane Sandy ravaging the area, it was a perfect fit to raise a substantial amount of money.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie estimated that the super storm costs is in the $40 billion range, he is in Washington, D.C. on Thursday to lobby to White House officials for emergency funds to cover 100 percent of the damage caused by the hurricane.
