Philadelphia Eagles Trade Pick No. 16 and 19 to New Orleans

The Eagles have made a major trade that will net them another first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

They have sent pick No. 16 and 19 to New Orleans in exchange for pick No. 18 this season, pick 101, 237 and a 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 second-round pick.

Its a good move for Howie Roseman, who adds a third-round pick in the upcoming draft plus future first and second-round selections. While he gives up two first-round picks, he adds one this season and next year, plus a third.

I would imagine that the Eagles adding another pick in next years draft which means Jalen Hurts has this year to show the team he is their guy. If he doesn't grab the position by the horns, they now have the extra pick to move up if they want to look at a quarterback in next years draft.

The Eagles also don't have to hand out three fully guaranteed contracts this year, while adding an extra third-round pick this season.
