The stars are aligning for the Philadelphia Flyers (38-26-12) as the final full week of the regular season arrives. Six games remain for the Orange and Black, and following a big win over the New York Islanders on Friday night and a lot of help on the scoreboard on Saturday, they are in control of their own destiny when it comes to the playoff picture.

The final six games start on Sunday afternoon against the Boston Bruins (43-26-8) at 3:30 PM.

Keys to the Game

  • Push the Pace: Going up against a Boston team that played on Saturday, the Flyers are going to want to dictate the pace and play with speed.
  • Role Reversal: On Friday, the Flyers were the team on the back-end of a back-to-back with travel. The Flyers had Saturday off while the Bruins played the front end of a back-to-back in Tampa Bay before traveling to Philadelphia for Sunday's game.
  • Youth Gone Wild: The Flyers got plenty of contributions from their youngest members in Friday's game. These games are already a great experience for young players, and they are thriving in this environment so far.

By the Numbers

  • The Flyers have a 17-13-8 record on home ice this season. The Bruins are 15-15-7 on the road.
  • The Flyers are 8-10-3 against the Atlantic Division. The Bruins are 14-3-3 against the Metropolitan Division.
  • Travis Konecny has 10 career goals against the Bruins. Dan Vladar has a 2-1-0 record with a 1.37 GAA and .946 save percentage in five career games against the Bruins.

Quotable

  • "Just our heart and that we’re willing to play for each other. We just want to extend our season. Obviously, we know it’s still going to be a grind, so we’re not getting too high and we are still trying to battle." - Dan Vladar following Friday's win over the Islanders

X-Factors

  • Tyson Foerster: Foerster's return to the lineup already had an impact with a goal on Thursday night. He has six shots on goal in the two games since returning. Foerster also has four goals in six career games against the Bruins.
  • David Pastrnak: Pastrnak is a noted Flyer killer with 26 goals and 45 points in 36 career games against the Flyers. Always dangerous and able to set up teammates as well, keeping Pastrnak contained is crucial.
