Flyers vs. Panthers Preview: Settling In
After two games on the road, including a close call in an overtime loss on Saturday, the Flyers are finally back home for the home opener on Monday night. It will be the first of four straight games at Xfinity Mobile Arena and nine of 10, so plenty of time to enjoy the comforts of home and settle in for the season.
But the schedule gets no easier. The Flyers are facing the Florida Panthers again, after falling to them on Thursday, 2-1, in the season opener.
Game time is 7 p.m.
Travis Sanheim scored the game-tying goal to force overtime on Saturday and logged some significant minutes in the first two games of the season. Look for him to be an active part of the team once again on Monday.
Anton Lundell has moved into an elevated role with Aleksander Barkov out with injury and has made the most of it early. He has two goals and three points in three games, including a power-play goal against the Flyers on Thursday.
Dan Vladar gets the start for the Flyers. Vladar made 32 saves on 34 shots in a loss to the Panthers on Thursday in his Flyers debut.
Daniil Tarasov gets the start for the Panthers. Tarasov makes his season debut for the Panthers. He had a 7-10-2 record in 20 games last season with Columbus, with a 3.54 GAA and .881 save percentage.
Projected Lineups
