Flyers Sign Noel Acciari to 2-Year Deal

Free agency wasn’t just about making in-house moves. The Philadelphia Flyers were also looking at the open market for possible options for their roster over the next season.

One of the roles they were looking to fill was recently vacated in a trade. The role that Garnet Hathaway played and that Luke Glendening was able to fill at times late last season was open. And the Flyers found an upgrade.

The Flyers signed forward Noel Acciari to a two-year deal with a $2.8 million AAV.

Acciari, 34, started his NHL career in the 2015-16 season with the Boston Bruins. He spent four seasons in Boston. He also made stops in Florida from 2019-20 to 2021-22, and both St. Louis and Toronto in the 2022-23 season.

For the last three seasons, Acciari has been a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. In 67 games in the 2025-26 season, Acciari scored 13 goals and had 25 points. Both totals were the highest of his career since 2019-20, when he had 20 goals and 27 points with the Panthers.

Acciari also had one assist in the six-game series against the Flyers in the playoffs.

Acciari is expected to play a depth role and comes at an affordable cost for a utility player in the bottom-six.
