I just returned from my trip to Miami where we watched the Sixers beat the Heat!  Joel Embiid is has returned and the Sixers are 2-0 with the Big Man back in the lineup. He truly is the MVP because without him the Sixers are a much different team.

What really caught my attention on Thursday Night was the number of Sixers fans in the Kaseya Center and the lack of enthusiasm for the home team.  Or maybe most other cities fan bases just cannot compare to Philadelphia.  Or Maybe with Embiid, the fans knew they didn’t stand a chance to win.  I will tell you all about my experience in Florida this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

The Phillies have gotten off to a bit of a slow start (for the second straight year) but Bryce Harper has a flair for the dramatic.  Plus don’t look now but Kyle Schwarber is batting .280 with two homers and a stolen base in the leadoff spot  I know It’s early but baseball is back and that’s always a good thing.  The Phillies begin a six game road trip this weekend in Washington, DC as all of the Philly Sports teams are being kicked out of town for the invasion of WWE Wrestlemania.

The Flyers have lost five in a row and the only reason they are hanging on the the third playoff spot in the Metropolitan division is because they have stolen a couple points in the standings with a some Overtime games.  With the Islanders and Capitals breathing down their neck, we will cover the Flyers playoffs odds and more all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim!

On Saturday’s show, Josh Hennig (no introduction needed) and former Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Dave Klemic join me in the studio.  We will talk about my visit to Miami to watch the Sixers beat the Heat.  We will recap the Phillies week and preview Saturday’s afternoon game.  In Hour Two, The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan checks in from … New Jersey??  "The Book" is somewhere on the East Coast and we will track him down for his weekend picks.  The Flyers travel to Buffalo and need a win against the Sabers Friday night as both the Orange and Black plus the 76ers have back-to-back games this weekend.  We have it covered.

On Sunday’s show, Producer Danny Ryan joins me in the studio as we recap the weekend in Philly Sports.  Every Sunday throughout the baseball season we go “On the Mound” with former Phillies Pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by Blitz’s Market in Ocean City.  Tommy talks Phillies baseball and previews Sunday’s game in DC versus the Nationals.  Plus, Danny and I will talk about the weekend for the road warrior Sixers and Flyers.

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, heard every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to Noon on 97.3 FM ESPN Radio South Jersey.
