The Major League Baseball offseason is here and the Phillies are looking to make improvements to many areas of their roster.

After finishing 82-80 on the season, forcing them to miss the postseason for the 10th straight season, the team still has plenty of holes to fill.

One major hole to fix is in their leaky bullpen, which has been a disaster.

One name to keep an eye on per Jon Heyman of the MLB Network is former Phillies lefty Aaron Loup. Loup had an unremarkable stint in Philadelphia during the 2018 season, posting a 4.50 ERA in four innings of work as a situational lefty.

The 34-year old has been quite effective after leaving the City of Brotherly Love. He missed the 2019 season, but posted a 2.95 ERA for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2020 and a 6-0 record, 0.95 ERA, and 0.935 WHIP in 65 appearances for the Mets in 2021.

Phillies President Dave Dombrowski has been on the record saying that finding a closer is at the top of his 2022 wish list, and while Loup wouldn't fit that bill, he would give the Phillies bullpen a solid left-handed arm.

Its no secret the Phillies need an upgrade heading into next season. Several options will be available in free agency and trade market, but Loup would definitely be a welcomed addition.

Its not the type of signing that will get Phillies fans excited, but it would be a step to help boost the Phillies’ woeful bullpen.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
