Phillies Base Running Issues Doom Them While Eagles Report to Camp Next Week
The Phillies continue to make fundamental mistakes on the base paths and fielding errors that cost the team wins. The Dodgers took two out of three games against the Phillies, but it could have easily gone the other way. Bad base running and errors continue to plague this team. Good baseball teams don’t make these mistakes often, and if they do, they clean it up. The Phillies won’t be able to win games when it counts if this continues.
Trea Turner is tied for the Most Errors among Major League Baseball Shortstops with 15 errors. Despite the fact that Turner is starting to hit the ball, going 18-64 (.281) in the month of July, his defense is putrid!! The Phillies welcome the New York Yankees to town over the weekend.
