The Philadelphia Philies announced they had reinstated pitcher Victor Arano from the 10-day disabled list and optioned pitcher Yacksel Rios to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Arano, 23, had appeared in 10 games this season before hitting the DL on April 29 with a right rotator cuff strain. The right-hander was outstanding with a 0.75 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 13/3 K/BB ratio over 12 innings.

His return is likely a welcome one for the Phillies bullpen, who have struggled at the back-end of the bullpen, Arano gives them another power arm for the late innings, with 13 strikeouts in 12 innings.

Rios heads to Lehigh Valley struggling over his 17 big league innings with the Phillies, posting a 5.29 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 18/7 K/BB ratio.
