Phillies Weekend In Baltimore & South Jersey Beach Patrol Report

The Philadelphia Phillies are in Baltimore this weekend to face the Orioles for a three-game series. The Orioles ( 45-23 ) are in second place in the American League East behind the New York Yankees.  This will be a big test for a Phillies team that’s been on the road since June 7th. 

They split a two-game series in London versus the Mets and then dropped two of three games in Boston. The Phillies will be without the services of their starting catcher J.T. Realmuto who just had surgery on his right knee.  Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski says that he expects Realmuto to be out for a month and return to catching by the end of July.

The NBA and NHL playoffs both look to be over quickly!  The Boston Celtics and Florida Panthers both lead their series 3 games to none, so Boring!!!  We sports fans want the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals to be epic, back-and-forth series, not one-sided affairs. 

This weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim will be busy as we’ll lead off with Legendary Radio SportsTalk Show Host Angelo Cataldi.  Angelo will be at Sun Rose Books in Ocean City, New Jersey on Saturday signing his great book from 12 to 2 pm.

On Saturday’s show, Producer Nick Earnshaw and Mike Carlin join me in the studio.  We will kick things off recapping Friday night's Phillies game in Baltimore.  Then we will talk with Angelo Cataldi about his media career, his new book, and Philly Sports.  Next up we will hear from the Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan about the NBA and NHL playoffs.
