Piccini’s Pizza in Ocean City Reopens After Renovation Just in Time for Summer
After a short break, they are back!
Taking a brief hiatus, which started right after the new year, an Ocean City favorite has reopened its doors, just in time for the upcoming summer season.
The beloved brick oven pizza spot welcomed customers back with a ribbon-cutting celebration on Tuesday that was attended by the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries, and members of the business community to celebrate the reopening.
Piccini’s Reopens After Renovation in Ocean City
If you happen to drive by Piccini's Restaurant at 1260 West Avenue in Ocean City today, you will notice that they are open and ready to serve you once again after remodeling the dining room.
Piccini's gained some notoriety when Guy Fieri from the hit Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” paid them a visit, trying their bacon cheeseburger pie and chicken and farfalle with vodka sauce.
Piccini's shut things down from early January until now to renovate the dining room in the restaurant, making their much-anticipated return just before the busy season.
The popular pizza shop, known for its wood-fired brick oven pizza, opened in 1995 and has been owned and operated by Tony Galante and his wife, Janet, who are familiar names in Ocean City, since 2018.
Try These Fan Favorites From the Menu
I have made the drive from my home off the island over to Ocean City many times to pick up one of their pizza's so I am happy to hear that they are open again, just in time for summer.
Here is a look at their menu, but I am a fan of their Margherita pizza and the Piccini special.
