First introduced as a recreational activity in the 1960s, Pickleball was an alternative, less physically demanding variation of Tennis. Even though the sport utilizes gear similar to what people use for Table Tennis, the recreational activity saw little growth in the 20th Century.

But over the last five years, Pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. The once niche recreational activity is so popular that there are now Amateur and Professional Pickleball Tournaments around the country.

In New Jersey, there are Charity Fundraising Pickleball Events, like the one hosted former Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker Conor Barwin.  Each summer, the former Eagles player raises money for his Make The World Better Foundation at the Sea Isle City Pickleball Courts.

The popularity of pickleball opened the door for a national Pickleball Club to open its first location in New Jersey.  Now, a second national Pickleball franchise is opening a new location in South Jersey.

New Pickleball Club Offering Membership Deals Ahead of Grand Opening

Seven months after receiving approval from the Moorestown Zoning Board, ACE Pickleball Club is preparing to open its fifth New Jersey location later this year.

Created by Jay Diederich and Joe Sexton, the ACE Pickleball Club was started in January 2023, and the company has rapidly expanded around the United States. They opened their first New Jersey location in Voorhees in May 2024, and its success has inspired new franchise locations to open up around the state.

New ACE Pickleball Club Locations will be opening in North Brunswick and Freehold along with Tunnersville in the near future. But the soon-to-open Moorestown location is already offering special membership deals ahead of their Grand Opening.

The ACE Pickleball Club in Moorestown will be inside the East Gate Square Plaza near stores such as Party City and Ross. As of 2023, the area where the ACE Pickleball Club will open their new location was a vacant area available for lease.

Speaking of Moorestown, former Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Guard Ben Simmons used to own a home there. The property was later sold to current Phillies Outfielder Nick Castellanos. Check out the million-dollar property that Professional Athletes live in:
