The Philadelphia Eagles control their own destiny for clinching the NFC East title and at least the No. 2 seed in the NFC field.

And it could happen as soon as this Sunday against the Washington Commanders.

If the Eagles win or tie against their NFC East rival, that’s it, they capture the NFC East for the first time since 2022. For Philadelphia to lose the NFC East, they would need to lose all three remaining games, and Washington would need to win all three remaining games.

The Eagles are still very much in play for the No. 1 in the NFC, with three teams, Detroit, Minnesota, and Philadelphia all 12-2 with three games remaining.

Philly's path to the top seed is tricky, but if they win their final three games they have a shot. Detroit plays Chicago, San Francisco, and Minnesota in its final three games. Meanwhile, Minnesota will play Seattle, Green Bay and Detroit.

If the Lions win all three of their remaining games, they will be the top seed, If both the Eagles and Vikings win out to finish at 15-2, the Vikings would likely own the tiebreaker due to the strength of victory tie-breaker.

So essentially for the Eagles to earn the top seed, they need to win their three remaining games and have both Detroit and Minnesota lose once each (they play each other in Week 18).
