It turns out that teams around the league have interest in Eagles offensive coordinator Brain Johnson. The Eagles assistant coach is getting attention for at least one open head coach position in the NFL.

Johnson is expected to interview for the Carolina Panthers’ head coach vacancy, according Adam Schefter of ESPN.

"I have no comment," Johnson said when asked on Wednesday about the report. "All of my focus is about this week, and we've got a great opportunity with a special group of people to go out there and put on a great performance against Tampa Bay, and that's where all of our focus and energy is at the moment."

Johnson is in his first season as the Eagles offensive coordinator, taking over after Shane Steichen became the Indianapolis Colts head coach.

The 36-year-old Johnson was Philadelphia's quarterbacks coach from 2021 to 2022, and before that he was a college coach at multiple stops. A quarterback in his playing days, Johnson is calling plays at the professional level for the first time.

He was asked about the report during his Wednesday press conference

The Eagles offense ranks eighth in total yards, 16th in passing, eighth in rushing and seventh in points per game.
