Santucci’s Original Square Pizza Opening New Rio Grande Location
We told you a couple of weeks ago that Bruni's Pizza in Rio Grande was closing down for good.
While we were fans of Bruni's and enjoy their pizza, and even go to Hammonton to get a pie every now and then, we are happy to hear what is moving into their former spot at 1613 Route 47 in the Joe Canal's Plaza.
From Bruni's to Santucci’s: A New Chapter for Rio Grande
The popular pizza restaurant Santucci's Original Square Pizza, which already has multiple New Jersey and PA locations, is "coming soon" with a second location in Cape May County, which is looking to open sometime in the spring.
Santucci's already has a location in Wildwood, at 402 E. 26th Avenue, and will now have a second spot off the island in Rio Grande, which will be operated by the same owners.
The popular pizza shop first made its way to the Jersey Shore back in 2018 with a Ventnor location, which is now Ventnor Social. The current Ventnor spot is right next door at 6413 Ventnor Ave. and is a takeout and delivery only location.
They opened another Jersey Shore location in Brigantine in October of 2024 at 3800 Brigantine Boulevard in the spot that was previously occupied by Shore Things and before that 7-11.
What to Expect from Santucci’s Original Square Pizza
Santucci's is famous for their square pizzas, but also offers a variety of delicious sandwiches, flatbreads, strombolis, and classic wing choices.
In addition to Wildwood, Ventnor, and Brigantine, Santucci's has South Jersey locations in Washington Twp., Haddonfield, Deptford, and Cherry Hill. They are also opening in Moorestown
