South Jersey Craft Breweries Celebrate Passage of New Law
Finally, after months of New Jersey Politicians "Moving The Goalposts" on a common sense issue, Small Business owners of South Jersey Craft Breweries, Distilleries, and Wineries got the good news they had been waiting for.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed the latest version of the Liquor License Reform Bill (S-4265/A-5912) that lifted aggressive restrictions on Craft Producers in the Garden State. For years, the owners of Craft Breweries, Distilleries, and Wineries in New Jersey were at a competitive disadvantage compared to Craft Producers in other states because of archaic New Jersey and petty politics.
Back in June of 2023, the New Jersey State Senate and Legislature unanimously passed Legislative Bill S3038/A4630 which would have fixed many of the issues that owners of Craft Producers have been dealing with. But New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy refused to sign the bill because he wanted a complete overhaul of the state's Liquor License Laws.
But after months of political haggling, the Craft Breweries, Distilleries, and Wine Makers of New Jersey are celebrating this common-sense legislation to finally become law! Here are what some of South Jersey's favorite Craft Producers are saying in the aftermath of this good news:
Gusto Brewing Company in North Cape May recently celebrated their five-year anniversary and has become one of the most popular Craft Breweries in Cape May County thanks to their unique approach to Craft Beer.
One of Mike Gill's 12 Favorite South Jersey Craft Beers can be found at Three 3's Brewing located in Hammonton. They are considered one of the best Craft Breweries in South Jersey with their creative Brews.
One of the newest Craft Breweries in South Jersey is located behind the Wildwood Bowling Alley and is one of Cape May County's hidden treasures. They have a great variety of Craft Brews for people to check out.
One of the "OG's" of Craft Breweries, Ship Bottom Brewery located in Beach Haven is a popular name for Craft Beer fans all over New Jersey for their bold and flavorful brews.
Another one of Mike Gill's 12 Favorite Craft IPA Beers can be found at Farmers and Bankers Brewing located in Woodstown, New Jersey.
We can all celebrate the good news by visiting your local Craft Breweries and showing your appreciation for them enduring the tough times to reach this point. And don't forget to support Local Small Businesses because they are your neighbors too.
