
South Jersey Deli Named Among Top 20 Best in Nation
There are plenty of great Jewish deli's in the northeast, including right here in the Garden State. While New York might be know for having the best, and Philadelphia has the No. 2 spot on the list, one South Jersey spot was just named one of the top 20 in the country.
Katz's in New York City was ranked No. 1 overall and 4th Street Delicatessen in Philadelphia came in at No. 2.
Radin’s Delicatessen Breaks into the Top 20
However, just up the road from our studios here in Northfield, in Cherry Hill, is Radin's Delicatessen is located at 486 Evesham Road. It was ranked No. 18 overall on the list.
The popular food website chowhound ranked the top 20 Jewish Delis in the USA by finding: "customer reviews to see which spots consistently deliver on quality, portion size, and service."
What Makes This Cherry Hill Deli Stand Out?
You'll find tons to nosh on, from appetizing platters with lox and Nova salmon to hot open brisket sandwiches, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, and rugalach. Most things are made in-house, including the smoked pastrami, pickled corned beef, and fresh breads and pastries. The deli also does party platters. Diners say you can't really go wrong with anything you order, and that the portions are massive. As one regular commented on a Facebook post, "Generally, anything we order is taken home for a couple of extra meals."
Next time you're looking for a pastrami on rye, matzo ball soup, or a Reuben sandwich, look no further then Radin's Delicatessen in Cherry Hill.
Another Jersey Favorite Makes the Cut
One other New Jersey deli made the top 20, with Hobby's Delicatessen & Restaurant in Newark coming in at No. 12.
