
How South Jersey Football Stars Are Impacting this NFL season
After seven weeks into the 2025 NFL season, we are getting a clearer picture of which teams are contenders and which teams will miss the NFL Postseason.
If the season ended today, six of the projected 14 playoff teams all have players from South Jersey on their rosters. There are three other teams that are in contention for a spot in the postseason that also have South Jersey players contributing to their teams this year.

*LeQuint Allen Jr., Jaguars Running Back
The Millville High School Graduate had one catch for four yards and played 21 percent of the Jaguars' Offensive Snaps in their loss in London to the LA Rams. Allen Jr. is Jacksonville's third-string Running Back and has been a Special Teams Contributor, playing 24 percent of the Jags' Special Teams plays this season.
*Markquese Bell, Cowboys Safety
Bridgeton High School Alumni had four Solo Tackles and one Pass Deflected in the Cowboys' win over the Washington Commanders. Bell was one of four Cowboys players to be on the field for all 67 Defensive Plays for the Dallas Defense in NFL Week 7.
*Jihaad Campbell, Eagles Linebacker
The Rookie from Timber Creek Regional and IMG Academy had Three Solo Tackles in Philadelphia's win over the Vikings. Campbell has the third-most Solo tackles on the Eagles this season (25), and he has been on the field for 93 percent of the defensive plays during his rookie season.
*Donovan Ezeiruaku, Cowboys Defensive End
Williamstown HS Alumni had three Solo Tackles and One Sack in the Dallas' victory over the Washington Commanders. Ezeiruaku is tied for the most QB Hits (8) on the Cowboys this season, and as a Rookie, he has played 48 percent of the Dallas Defensive snaps.
*Joe Flacco, Browns Quarterback
The Audobon High School Graduate led his new team, the Cincinnati Bengals, to a big victory on Thursday Night Football with three passing Touchdowns. In two starts for the Bengals, Flacco has 5 Passing Touchdowns, 561 Passing Yards, and Zero Interceptions.
*Austin Johnson, Jaguars Defensive Tackle
The St. Augustine Prep Alumni has Two Solo Tackles for Jacksonville's defense in their loss to the Rams in London. Johnson has been a backup Defensive Lineman for the Jaguars Defense this season, playing 24 percent of the team's defensive snaps this year.
*Juwan Johnson, Saints Tight End
The Glassboro High School Alumni and former College Football Wide Receiver had five catches for 79 Receiving Yards in New Orleans' loss to the Chicago Bears. Johnson has the third-most Receiving Yards on the Saints this season (315) and the second-most catches on the team (31).
*Bo Melton, Packers Defensive Back
The Cedar Creek High School Graduate played 56 percent of Green Bay's Special Teams snaps in their win over the Arizona Cardinals. Melton has the second-most Kick Return Yards on the Packers this season (139) and is a former Wide Receiver who has been cross-trained this summer to play Cornerback when they need him.
*Max Melton, Cardinals Cornerback
The second-year player from Cedar Creek High School had Four Solo Tackles in Arizona's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Melton is in his second year with the Cardinals, and he has compiled Four Passes Deflected along with 16 Solo Tackles.
*Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs Running Back
The Vineland High School Graduate had 57 Rushing Yards and a Rushing Towndown in Kansas City's win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Pacheco leads the Chiefs with the most Rushing Yards this season (271) for an offense that is 6th in the NFL in Scoring per game (26.6 PPG).
* Haason Reddick, Buccaneers Edge Rusher
The Haddon Heights High School Alumni had one Quarterback Hit in Tampa's loss to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. Reddick is tied for the third-most QB Hits on the Buccaneers Defense this season (5).
*Tarheeb Still, Chargers Cornerback
The Timber Creek Regional High School Alumni had One Solo Tackle and One QB Hit in the Chargers loss to the Colts. Still is tied for the most Pass Deflected on the team this season (5), and has the third-most Solo Tackles for the Chargers defense (21).
*Jonathan Taylor, Colts Running Back
The Salem High School Graduate had 132 Total Yards and Three Rushing Touchdowns in the Colts victory over the Chargers. Taylor leads the NFL this season in Rushing Yards (697), and Rushing Touchdowns (10) as a part of the number one scoring offense in the league this season (Indianapolis is averaging 33.1 Points Per Game).
*Bhayshul Tuten, Jaguars Running Back
The Paulsboro High School Graduate had five carries for 22 Rushing Yards and played 29 percent of the Jacksonville Offensive Snaps in their loss to the Los Angeles Rams in London. Tuten has 189 Total Yards from Scrimmage and one Rushing Touchdown so far in his rookie season.
