PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The Atlanta Falcons’ success trickled down to the Eagles on Monday when Darren Sproles and Jason Kelce were added to the NFC Pro Bowl team as alternates.

The Falcons’ Devonta Freeman and Alex Mack have better things to do after Atlanta advanced to Super Bowl LI on Sunday by dominating the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

Both are reputation-based additions as Sproles, while still a terrific return man and nice change of pace in the backfield, will be in Orlando as a running back and there are plenty of more deserving candidates for that role.

Kelce’s addition is even stranger after a poor season which has the Eagles contemplating whether to move on from the now three-time Pro Bowl selection, saving $3.8 million toward the salary cap in the process, and toward Isaac Seumalo at center.
