Former St. Augustine Prep star guard Sa'eed Nelson is signing a deal to play with SC Rasta Vechta of the German Basketball ProA League.

Nelson played professionally last season, scoring 13 points and 5.0 assists per game for MLP Academics Heidelberg, in the top league in Germany, winning a title and leading the league in assists.

Before becoming a professional, the Pleasantville, NJ, native played 118 games at American University, where he was named the was named Patriot League Player of the Year as a senior, scoring 18.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He was also a two-time First Team All-Patriot League player and is the all-time scoring leader at American.

While at St. Augustine, Nelson was one of the top scorers in the Cape-Atlantic League and in Hermits history, finishing his career with 1,625 points, third highest in school history.
