Kyle Dobbins had 117 yards rushing on 24 carries but it wasn't enough as St. Augustine fell 28-0 to eighth seeded St. Joe's Montvale in the non-public IV state playoffs on Friday night in Richland.

Dobbins now has 1,391 breaking Ocean City running back Kevin Sinclair's record for most yards by a sophomore in a single season.

It was the first home playoff game for the Hermits since 2009.

Austin Triglia had a four-yard touchdown run to kick off the scoring in the first quarter on the Green Knights opening drive. St. Joe later blocked a Hermits punt and JT Giles-Harris scored to make it 14-0 late in the first quarter.

With :35 left in the half, St. Joe blocked another punt and returned it for a touchdown to make it 21-0 at halftime.

St. Augustine picked of two Nick Patti passes but couldn't capitalize on their 278 yards of total offense.  St. Joe Montvale had 274 yards of offense, including 211 yards on the ground.

Jose Tabora was 5-14 passing for 114 yards, but was sacked five times against a very stout Green Knights defense.

The Hermits fell to 8-1 while St. Joe is now 7-3.

St. Augustine, the American Conference champion, will face National Conference champion Cedar Creek on Thanksgiving day in Richland.
