  LINWOOD — On the list of qualities a championship team possesses, the ability to handle pressure and respond when faced with adversity is right up at the top. With, for all intents and purposes, the Cape-Atlantic League championship on the line Thursday afternoon, Ocean City fell behind 4-0 after one quarter and 6-2 by halftime, but responded with nine second-half goals to rally for an 11-10 win

LINWOOD — Prior to Tuesday's game featuring rivals Ocean City and Mainland Regional, the crowd was buzzing about the chance to see Red Raiders stud pitcher Sean Mooney. After three innings, the only buzzing the Mainland faithful heard came from random bumble bees near the home dugout.

LINWOOD — Mainland Regional might not be playing its best baseball just yet, but the Mustangs have been finding ways to win, and that's good enough for coach Billy Kern. The Mustangs scratched a pair of runs across in the bottom of the first, and Nick Atohi and Kyle Gerace made that lead stand up as Mainland held off Vineland 2-0 on Friday afternoon.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — The Absegami boys lacrosse team needs to be playing its best this week with games against Mainland Regional and Ocean City looming. The Braves worked out some of the weekend kinks in an 18-8 win over Cedar Creek on Monday, and while the score makes it look like a convincing win, the Braves know there is plenty to clean up before taking on Mainland on Wednesday.

  OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City boys lacrosse team had heard all week about how good rival Mainland was, how this was the first time in school history that the Mustangs had started 6-0. They heard about Mainland's high-powered offense that came into Friday's game at the Tennessee Avenue Fields averaging nearly 17 goals per game. The Red Raiders felt it was time to send a little reminder to the rest
