Despite the ongoing pause due to the pandemic, voting is underway for NHL awards and the Flyers are sure to be represented with candidates in a handful of categories.
Over at ESPN.com, Greg Wyshynski posed the biggest question for each of the 24 teams in the playoffs. The Flyers one is quite intriguing. Are these games following the pause, to be played in neutral hub cities, away games for Carter Hart?
Chuck Fletcher got aggressive early and traded for the rights to free-agent forward Kevin Hayes. Should Hayes sign with the Flyers, this will not be the last new addition. It may not be the last trade. It's only the beginning of Fletcher's aggressive approach to the offseason.
If anything was indicative in this game, it's that the Flyers certainly know that a lot of change could lie in store, but the results aren't going to change without max effort.
The Flyers had 37 shots to 27 for the Avalanche, and came close to ending the game on numerous chances. Ultimately, the game took a shootout to decide, but it was a classic case of near misses and little bounces going the wrong way that did the Flyers in. Here is the Postgame Review.
