Phillies trade rumors

The Anaheim Angels made a trade yesterday for outfielder not named Ben Revere. The Angels made a deal with the New York Mets this week for outfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis, in exchange for cash considerations. So the Major League Baseball GM winter meetings came and went and Cole Hamels is still a member of the Phillies  - for now at least.

According to FOX Sports' baseball insider Ken Rosenthal Phillies outfielder Marlon Byrd is drawing trade interest. The 37-year-old outfielder batted .264 with 25 home runs this season and is owed $8 million in 2015, but by making 463 plate appearances, he also can vest his $8 million option for 2016...
