Nine local high school football teams entered Friday night with hopes of winning playoff games.

Only three of those teams survived into Saturday.

Congratulations to Bridgeton and Buena, which join St. Joseph as the three remaining Cape-Atlantic League teams in the postseason (Hammonton still alive in the West Jersey Football League).

One of the biggest stories continues to be the Buena Regional Chiefs, who remain unbeaten (10-0) on the season following a convincing 28-7 victory over Barnegat. Listen in for more on the play that may have sealed the game, and how the Chiefs also got some big help in the South Jersey Group II bracket.

The Hammonton Blue Devils are also still alive after a 25-18 win over Triton Regional on Friday night. Find out how they overcame "one of the worst season for injuries in school history", and how they match up in next week's matchup against top-ranked Shawnee.

Listen to this week's show:

We'd also like to congratulate the 97.3 ESPN-FM High School Athlete of the Week:

Chloe Courter

Field Hockey, Southern Regional

The senior scored game winners in the Rams' Group IV quarterfinal and semifinal games (one was in overtime, the other came in a shootout)
