The South Jersey Sports Report 11/8
With several playoff spots on the line, some of South Jersey's best high school football players stepped up in the clutch on Friday night.
With both Atlantic City and Absegami facing off for a potential postseason spot, a junior captain delivered when his team needed it most.
Playmaker Jamir Prevard and his big 8-yard touchdown run to end the first half proved to be the difference in the Vikings' narrow 18-13 win.
The Millville Thunderbolts are also in the playoffs after a big win over Egg Harbor Township on our airwaves. Leading the charge was none other than Ryquell Armstead, whose four touchdowns held back the Silver Eagles in a big 42-35 victory.
Find out how the 'Bolts persevered after being "left for dead", and what the team's mindset is heading into their fourth straight postseason.
Our high school football insiders Mike McGarry and Tom Williams were busy crunching the numbers into the early morning hours. Listen in for a breakdown of the power points, and which other South Jersey teams are likely in the playoffs in their projected playoff brackets.
