Just like a Week One preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles QB Mike Vick has left the game for x-rays for an injury. The X-rays were revealed to be negative, Vick will not return to action.

12 days ago it was for an injured thumb, tonight Vick has left the game with injured ribs.

It happened in a first quarter series on a play-action pass where Vick was hit hard by Patriots LB Jermaine Cunningham.

Vick threw an incomplete pass down field intended for WR DeSean Jackson, the Eagles were forced to call a timeout on the field as Vick was slow to get to his feet.  He immediately left the field with a team physician to receive x-rays on his ribs.

Vick has missed multiple games in the past two seasons with rib injuries.

Rookie QB Nick Foles came in to replace Vick.
