This week, we have a fresh batch of local student-athletes who have proven themselves worthy on their respective fields.

Ishmael Muhammad, Track & Field, Oakcrest - The senior secured three individual victories (800 meters, 1600 meters and 400-meter hurdles) and contributed to a relay win as the Falcons claimed a fifth straight Atlantic County Championship title.

 

Brandon Bowen, Baseball, Absegami - He blasted a walk-off two-run home run to push the Braves past Cedar Creek, 11-9.

 

Madie Gibson, Lacrosse, Lower Cape May - She scored five goals as the Caper Tigers upset Red Bank on the road in the opening round of playoff action.

 

Lucas Rollins, Baseball, Collingswood - He controlled the action in every facet of an 8-6 victory over Gateway. Rollins pitched a complete game that featured eight strikeouts and clobbered a grand slam in the second inning.

 

Devon Bradshaw, Baseball, Wildwood - The senior became just the fourth Warriors baseball player to reach 100 career hits. He accomplished the feat with a double during a 5-1 win over Overbrook.
