Two of South Jersey top basketball programs faced-off for the first time, when Atlantic City traveled to Absecon to take on Holy Spirit.

Both teams are off to solid starts this season, but it was the Vikings who controlled the first meeting of the season between these two heavyweights.

The Vikings used a big late third-quarter, early fourth-quarter run to pull away from Holy Spirit, 62-46, to take over sole-possession of first-place in the CAL American Conference.

Dennis White led Atlantic City with 16 points, Isaiah Graves had 13 and Bryan Nolan had 11 for the Vikings.

AC improved to 7-2 overall, 5-0 in the American Conference. Spirit dropped to 9-2, 5-1.
