The high school football season continues this afternoon on 973espn.com as the Holy Spirit Spartans (4-3) visit the St. Joe's Wildcats (7-1).

The Spartans will try to knock off their rivals, St. Joe's, while the Wildcats look to make it six wins in a row.

The last time these two teams met was at MetLife Stadium in the  Non-Public Group 2 championship game.  In that game St. Joe beat No. 2 Holy Spirit, 41-22 with Jada Byers rushing for 96 yards on 20 carries, scored three touchdowns — including two as a receiver.

There could be a lot of points score in today's game, with the Spartans averaging 33.7 points per game and St Joe scoring 30.9 points per game.   Leading those offenses are Jada Byers, of St. Joe, who has 16 rushing touchdowns and the rushing tandems of E'Lijah Gray and Patrick Smith who have combined for 16 rushing scores.

Both teams also have solid passing games lead by Trevor Cohen for Holy Spirit and Jayden Shertel of St. Joe each have 11 TD passes.
