Big Wins for Holy Spirit, St. Augustine and St. Joe
The high school basketball season is in full swing and there were plenty of key games being played Wednesday night.
On 97.3 ESPN, St. Joe (5-3) knocked off Ocean City (3-5) 51-44 behind B.J. Mitchell who scored 20 points in the the game including 16 in the second half.
Here is Mitchell after the Wildcats win over Ocean City:
St. Augustine (9-1) had a nice test and passed with flying colors, holding off last years Cape Atlantic League Champs, Wildwood Catholic (8-2), 81-66.
Meanwhile, right here on 973espn.com, Middle Township (7-2) took on Holy Spirit (7-1) in a battle of two of the two programs in the Cape Atlantic League. It was the Spartans who came out on top 55-40 over the Panthers. John MIddleton led the way with 27 points for Holy Spirit, freshman Corey Greer led Middle with 11 points.
