Following the Flyers 6-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night, the team is now 16-7-5 with 37 Points, positioning them into Fourth Place in the Eastern Conference standings.  The Flyers have gotten major contributions from their younger players such as Oskar Lindblom who is the team's leading goal scorer with 11 and Travis Konecny leading the team in Points with 27 while Carter Hart's 2.35 Goals Against Average is Ninth Best in the NHL so far this season.  The Flyers are also one of the best Home Teams in the league with a 9-1-4 record on Philadelphia ice; the only teams with a better record at home are the Boston Bruins (12-0-4) and the New York Islanders (11-2-1).

Flyers Forward James Van Riemsdyk joined Mike Gill on Wednesday and talked about some of the key reasons for the team's success this year:

"I think the biggest key (is) you are seeing a lot of pretty big steps forward by some of the other (young) guys.  Offensively you look at a guy like (Travis) Konecy, the year he is having so far, Oskar Lindblom (and) Joe Farabee has been really good for us; That's been really good for our depth having guys like that coming in and having some good years for us to start the season.....All the good teams tend to have a good mix of some youthfulness and some of that veteran experience and I think we have a good mix of that on our team this year."
