The Halloween Holiday Season is most known for two activities: Dressing up in Costumes and Collecting Candy.  Sure, the month of October isn't the only time of year with a holiday associated with candy consumption, but Chocolate Candy and Halloween are a perfect pair like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

So what is New Jersey's Favorite Chocolate Candy? Well, the website NYcasinos.com gathered information from the top Google Searches plus the research company Statista to find out what the most popular brand name chocolate candies are in each state.

Here are the top three Favorite Chocolate Candies in New Jersey:

1. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
2. Milky Way
3. Snickers

I would argue that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are one of the most popular name-brand chocolate candies of all time so it is no surprise that is New Jersey's favorite chocolate candy.  The Garden State's neighboring states of Delaware and Pennsylvania also have their favorite chocolate candy listed at Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  All three states also agree that Milky Way is their second favorite.

Where Pennsylvania disagrees with New Jersey and Delaware is on what the number three favorite chocolate candy is: The Keystone State has Twix as their third favorite instead of Snickers.  But considering Twix and Snickers have similar ingredients, it appears that all three states enjoy the same types of chocolate candy bars.

The state of New York also has Twix as their third favorite chocolate candy bar but has Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as their number two.  The number one favorite name-brand chocolate candy bar for The Empire State is Kit Kat Bars.

Again, ingredients for Kit Kat Bars are similar to the other chocolate candy bars listed above, so if nothing else the residents of the states encompassing the I-95 Corridor all have a "type" of chocolate candy they prefer.  Keep that in mind as you are shopping for your friends and family this holiday season.
